I'm Eduardo,

I’m a professional mixed media artist and photographer. I have been creating expressionist paintings and fine art images for over 20 years, in Portugal, Canada and now in the USA. 

Every time I create an image, I ask myself; what feeling do I want this piece to evoke on the viewer? - The goal is to keep pushing myself by creating unique art and exploring the possibilities of mixing digital and traditional media to turn what I create into something you will want to hang on your wall for a long time. 

I want people to connect to my form of expression and experience art in a new manner.

Living in different countries and traveling extensively, has allowed me to draw inspiration and learn from the plethora of different cultures and beautiful places throughout this beautiful continent that is, North America. 

For the creative process, I use Corel Painter and other state of the art painting software, on a Mac computer and a Wacom tablet and pen, to manually produce my paintings. I also utilize other top quality photographic software to create composites and photo art. Although I paint in the digital world, I strive to create original abstract and figurative expressionist paintings that resemble natural oils. 

A select number of my paintings are printed on museum quality paper and adhered to canvas, others are printed directly on canvas. They are then hand-embellished with acrylic paints and gels to create texture, resulting in a unique final product. I call these my “Limited Edition” paintings. 

Each painting is produced on demand and comes signed. 

Many of my artworks hang in private collections in north America and were exhibited several times in Canada and the USA. As a former professional photographer, I love turning my landscape, portrait and street photographs into Fine Art images, many of which, have been published in books and magazines in several countries.
