Selected works by Eduardo Tavares are released as Limited Editions for collectors who value rarity, craftsmanship, and a closer connection to the artist's creative practice.
Unlike Open Editions, only a predetermined number of works will be produced within each Limited Edition.
The edition size for each Limited Edition artwork is established before or at the time the edition is released and is displayed on the individual artwork page.
Each Limited Edition is released in one specific size and one designated material. The edition quantity shown applies exclusively to that particular configuration. Once the stated edition has been completed, Eduardo Tavares Art will not produce additional Limited Edition copies of that artwork in the same size and material. The underlying artwork may also be available separately as an Open Edition in other sizes, materials, or formats.

Numbered Certificate of Authenticity
This collector edition is limited exclusively to this size and material. Other formats of the artwork may be available separately as Open Edition prints.
Once all numbered works in an edition have been sold, the edition is considered closed.
Limited Edition works are assigned an individual edition number.
For example:
7/25
indicates the seventh numbered work within an edition limited to 25.
Edition numbers identify a work's position within the edition and do not indicate differences in artistic quality.
Certain Eduardo Tavares Limited Editions are available exclusively in selected premium materials, including acrylic and canvas.
Materials are chosen according to how they complement the color, texture, depth, and visual character of the original artwork.
Availability may vary from one Limited Edition to another.
Qualifying Limited Edition artworks are accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity documenting the identity and edition status of the work.
A Certificate may include:
Collectors are encouraged to retain the Certificate with their records, as it forms an important part of the artwork's documentation and provenance.
Eduardo may retain a small number of Artist's Proofs for archival, exhibition, promotional, or personal purposes.
Where Artist's Proofs exist, they will be identified separately from the numbered edition, typically with the designation AP.
The number of Artist's Proofs will remain limited and will not be used to circumvent the stated size of the numbered edition.
If a Limited Edition work is damaged during delivery and qualifies for replacement, the original damaged piece may need to be returned, destroyed, or otherwise permanently removed from circulation before a replacement is issued.
Where practical, the replacement will retain the same edition number.
Only one valid work bearing a particular edition number should remain in circulation.
Because a Certificate of Authenticity forms part of an artwork's provenance, replacement certificates are not automatically issued.
If an original Certificate is lost or destroyed, a replacement may be issued at Eduardo Tavares Art's discretion after reasonable verification of the artwork and ownership.
Any replacement Certificate may be clearly identified as a replacement.
Eduardo Tavares Signature Mixed-Media Works represent a separate artist-finished category.
These works may begin with an artist-created digital image printed on fine art paper and mounted to canvas before Eduardo individually applies texture, acrylic media, brushwork, gel, or other finishing elements by hand.
Because each is individually finished, subtle variations are expected and become part of the identity and character of the finished artwork.
Where a Signature Mixed-Media Work is also issued as part of a Limited Edition, its edition status will be clearly stated.
Purchasing a Limited Edition artwork transfers ownership of that individual physical artwork to the collector.
Copyright and reproduction rights in the underlying artwork remain with Eduardo Tavares unless expressly transferred through a separate written agreement.
Ownership of a Limited Edition therefore does not grant permission to reproduce, license, commercially distribute, or otherwise commercially exploit the image.
The purpose of an edition is trust.
Once a numbered Limited Edition is declared complete, Eduardo Tavares Art will respect the stated edition limit. Edition records will be maintained to help preserve the integrity and provenance of the collection.
Each Limited Edition is intended not simply as a reproduction of an image, but as a carefully considered physical expression of Eduardo's original artwork—created to be lived with, experienced, and collected.
